Kenwood For Boys

Growing up today, boys are surrounded by a world that moves fast and pulls them in a dozen directions.

What they rarely find are spaces built just for them. Places where they can try hard, laugh loud, and grow into the kind of young men and leaders parents see in themselves.

Camp Kenwood is still one of those places. Since 1930, this a community where boys focus on the things in life they’ll carry with them long after summer ends: confidence, independence, and friendships that stick.

At Kenwood, size is a strength. This is a close-knit circle where staff know each camper, not just by name, but by who they are and what makes them tick. This is the gift of a full summer at camp.

It gives the kind of attention gives boys need with the confidence to stretch themselves, take healthy risks, and feel like they truly belong.

At Kenwood, boys thrive in a program designed specifically for them, filled with competitive sports, arts and music, adventure, and traditions that stretch them to grow stronger each year.

And it’s all while being part of something bigger.

Kenwood joins with Evergreen for campfires, Color War, and shared traditions that unite everyone in one community.

These summers are more than weeks of fun. They are stepping stones that help boys grow into resilient, kind, and confident young people.

“Summers are some of the most important weeks in a child’s life. Facing challenges. Growing confidence. Forming friendships. Building independence. K&E summers don’t just create memories. They shape the kind of person your child will become.”

The Kenwood Experience

At Kenwood, boys learn by doing. That means a summer of playing hard, competing, laughing, and figuring things out together.

Weeks are packed with sports, lake swims, creative activities, and moments that are nearly impossible to find elsewhere.

But what makes Kenwood special isn’t just the activities. It’s the feeling of belonging.

KENWOOD ROLE MODELS

The Kenwood side of camp is led by men who set the tone through example.

They’re coaches, teachers, and mentors who know that boys need structure, humor, and steady support. Staff are chosen for character first, then their camp skills.

They’re modeling what it means to show up, treat people well, and take care of each other in every moment.

Kenwood LODGES

At Kenwood, where you live is part of how you grow.

Boys start in bunks and move up to huts on Senior Hill as they get older. The huts circle a common outdoor area, making every day feel connected.

Each cabin holds 6-8 boys and 2-3 counselors. It’s intentional. Camp is built for connection.

Kenwood Traditions

At Kenwood, traditions aren’t decorations on the summer. They’re the heartbeat of it.

That means learning camp songs, competing in Color War, and ending the season at the candlelight ceremony by the lake.

Traditions connect across generations of boys at Kenwood who’ve shared the same experiences for nearly a century.
