Camp isn’t just a couple of weeks during a longer school break. Camp is summer.
It’s when kids splash in the lake, pull together in Color War, look at the stars while laughing with bunkmates, eat meals together, get dirty, and keep hold of childhood. It’s also where kids practice confidence, kindness, and independence. These stay with them long after summer ends.
For nearly a century, Kenwood & Evergreen has been a place where summers shape kids for life.
Founded in 1931, our camps have carried forward a simple philosophy: when kids are surrounded by community, challenge, and care, they grow into their best selves.

Having a great summer means having a great team that knows kids, knows camp, and knows how to bring out the best in both.
K&E is led by camp pros who’ve spent their lives bringing summer to thousands of kids. Building programs, training staff, creating the place kids carry with them forever.
This isn’t a group running camp from a distance. They’re actually on the fields, in the dining hall, at the campfire.

DAILY SCHEDULE
No two days at K&E are exactly the same, but each one follows a rhythm that just works. Full, moving, alive.
Mornings start with everyone at the flagpole. Days flow between sports, the Studio for art, the Woods for adventure, and the lake. Evenings end with campfires, games, and kids spilling out across the quad.
Every day feels full, familiar, and unforgettable.
ACTIVITIES & EVENING PROGRAM
Days at K&E balance structure and freedom. Mornings bring everyone together for sports and team games. Then kids choose what pulls them in most.
Maybe that’s water skiing, woodworking, or climbing the rock wall. Maybe it’s fuse beads, mountain biking, or stained glass.
Evenings bring the whole camp together. Some nights are big and loud. Others are smaller and relaxed. Every night ends with a shared rhythm that carries through the summer.
SPECIAL EVENTS & TRIPS
Weekends at K&E bring a change of pace and a lot of excitement. The camp takes on new energy with big, creative events that bring the whole camp together.
Gold Rush turns the fields into competition and chaos. Hollowpalooza becomes a full camp music festival. Carnival gets built from the ground up by staff.
And every summer brings new surprises. Themed competitions, mystery nights, and twists that keep the whole camp guessing what comes next.
FIRST TIME CAMPERS
Sending your child to camp for the first time is a major decision. We get it.
Camp is weeks long and means a big commitment. But it remains one of the best ways to spend a summer.
Every year brings new campers of all ages, and so many are starting fresh. Our staff are trained to make camp the right place for every child, our counselor ratios are tight, and our community is small enough that everyone gets known fast.
And it’s pretty simple: Camp is full of nice kids because families choose us hoping their child will be around other nice kids. That just works.
NUTRITION & WELLNESS
At K&E, meals are about more than food. They’re moments of connection.
Campers gather for family-style meals with options for every appetite. Each meal includes a full salad bar, fresh fruit, and choices for vegetarian, vegan, and allergy-friendly diets.
Think traditional camp fare. Burgers, hot dogs, pasta, stir-fry. Plus snacks all day long.
Our medical team includes on-site doctors and nurses who know each camper and are ready for anything from scraped knees to serious care.
DATES & RATES
Camp runs for six and a half weeks each summer, with flexible session options to fit different schedules.
