Camp Friends Coming Together For An Amazing Off Season ReunionFebruary 10, 2015
We had an amazing time this weekend at our annual Tri-State Area Camp Reunion. This was our first year bringing everyone together at the Chelsea Piers in Stamford, CT, and by all accounts the new location was a major hit! Our new venue had tons of fun things to do with camp friends, including playing indoor soccer and basketball, bouncing in a room filled with trampolines, practicing hitting in the batting cages, rock climbing, and tumbling into a massive pit of foam blocks.
After the initial excitement of seeing our Camp friends more than 300 of us gathered together to hear from Scott about the many fun plans we have for this summer (more on that in a future blog). Then we laughed and cheered together as we watched the Summer 2014 Video Yearbook, which you can view by clicking on the link below. From there we got to play, hang out, and just enjoy being with our camp friends.
Towards the end of the party we gathered to eat pizza and celebrate the 6 different friends who had birthdays this week. The whole community sang our ridiculously long and funny birthday song. Because we love our GF friends, we of course had gluten free pizza and gluten free cake on hand.
Sadly, the party was only 2 hours long, and we were soon saying goodbye to all of our Camp friends. Many, MANY campers went off to sleepovers at their friend’s houses, including about 20 of our oldest kids who somehow found a family willing to house them all for the night! Many thanks to the Friedmans for making that awesome gathering happen.
We’d like to thank the more than 200 campers and their families for joining us on Saturday night, along with all of the counselors who traveled from all over the Eastern seaboard to be with us. We miss you all and can’t wait to see you back in New Hampshire this coming June! If you’d like to see some of the highlights of our off season camp reunion please click on the link below.
