A New Movie About Evergreen’s Powerful Sisterhood #moviemonday
It’s #MovieMonday again at our brother-sister summer camp in NH. This week we’d like to premier a video titled “Evergreen is a Powerful Sisterhood“. It’s set to an alma mater that one of our teams sang at the end of this summer’s color war. I think it shows the deep emotions that our campers and staff feel about Camp, and for each other. It also conveys how powerful the bond of sisterhood is for our girls.
All children need to feel like they belong. It’s important for their self-esteem, and it’s also important for their social and emotional development. Belonging to a nurturing community provides you with the freedom to truly figure out how to be your best self. When you know you are supported by your peers you are able to try things outside of your comfort zone and discover new passions. You are able to practice and make mistakes, and recognize that this is the only way to grow. It’s also how you forge deeper, more meaningful friendships that will last a lifetime.
This is what Camps Kenwood and Evergreen is all about.
At our brother-sister summer camp in NH we create this incredible community of belonging so that our campers are in the best mindset for learning. Each day of the summer we focus on teaching them the vital non-cognitive skills that they will need to be leaders and innovators in the 21st century. These skills include leadership, collaboration, resilience, adaptability, and critical problem solving. We hope you enjoy our video about the power of the Evergreen sisterhood, and invite you to learn more about our camps.
