An incredible end of Evergreen’s Summer 2017 Green and Gold Color War
August 8, 2017
Yesterday was our final day of our girls’ Color War, known as Green and Gold. Over 4 days of playing their hardest in everything we do here — basketball, tennis, archery, softball, soccer, swimming, hockey, track and field, spelling bee, debate — both teams had really created an event to remember. Going into Song and Cheer, the scores were close. Very close.
Both teams sang their four songs beautiful, but in the end one came out just a bit ahead of the other. To be exact, the Green team won by a mere 3.5 points, making it one of the closest finishes in Evergreen Color War history! Congratulations to our teams, their coaches, and our judges who made this such an incredible special event.
Learn why our campers love playing sports at Kenwood and Evergreen
As is always the case at our summer camp, moments after the final scores were announced our campers and counselors were hugging and laughing, just happy to have participated in such a great contest with their camp friends.
A good time was definitely had by all.
