Our state-of-the-art ropes course is an incredible place for fun, and for learning to exceed your perceived limitations.
Maybe you think you are unable to climb trees. Maybe you’re afraid of heights, but secretly wish that you had a way to conquer that fear. Maybe you want to learn how to not give up so easily. Well, then our ropes course is the place for you! Each climbing element has been designed thrill our campers while also helping them become more resilient, better able to adapt to changing situations, a more effective communicator, and more skilled at problem solving.
Built into our 100-acre forest, our ropes course is like a village in the trees, with 13 different climbing stations raised more than 60 feet off the ground! Our highly trained, professional ropes team knows how to teach and encourage our least experienced, most nervous campers climb higher than they ever thought possible. They also know how to keep the course exciting and challenging for our most seasoned climbers.
Campers of all ages have the opportunity to walk the Tight Rope, swing from the Space Loops, leap off of the Pamper Pole, climb the Cargo Net, traverse the Burma Bridge and more. We also have a super-exciting Zip Line that extends almost 100 yards, and a structure called the Giants’ Ladder that some of our campers learn to climb while blindfolded!
Kenwood and Evergreen is also the only camp in New Hampshire with a natural granite face rock wall with artificial hand holds to aid to aid our less experienced campers. It’s almost 60 feet tall, and gives campers the chance to climb on real rocks, and also learn how to repel down them. Our most advanced climbers are invited to train with our ropes team to become qualified rope belayers as well!
This winter we interviewed our Ropes Course Director about his team, about what campers get out of their time at our Ropes Course, and why he is so passionate about teaching these skills to our campers. We invite you to read more about our incredible Ropes Course team!
