Hobby Nights are all about finding and nurturing their passions and where they get to work more closely with their favorite activity leader. They get to explore something they love or try out something they’ve always been interested in learning, with in depth one-on-one teaching. No one can forget the connections and friendships they make at our traditional campfires. Whether they’re hanging with just their age group or meeting up with the entire camp, they’ll get to roast marshmallows, sing songs, and feel a part of a spectacular community. It’s a special time where we are all reminded how welcome and loved we are at Camp. SPECIAL EVENTS Throughout the weekdays and weekends we have many rituals and traditions designed to help our campers feel like a valued part of our summer camp community. This includes campfires, luau beach parties, intramural sports leagues, camper councils, and more! And no two weekends at our camps are alike. On Saturdays and Sundays, we bring our boys and girls camps together to have fun, socialize, and get to know one another through our structured yet high-energy, special events. These events can be anything, from carnivals to camp Olympics to our music festival, Hollowpallooza. Co-ed events means working on social skills, self confidence, and communication skills. By guiding our campers through these events, we can teach them how to utilize their newfound independence and navigate through a variety of situations. These skills will become critical as they head off into future education and careers. By participating in these activities, campers jump head first into social situations where they will learn skills that will give them a head start in creating lasting friendships and relationship both in and outside of Camp.
