A member of the K&E family wins a Tony award!June 13, 2019
If you were watching the Tony awards on Sunday you may have noticed K&E’s own Eric Kuhn on stage when the team behind Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Oklahoma!” accepted the award for Best Revival of a Musical. Amazingly, Eric was nominated for two Tony Awards this season as co-producer of Oklahoma! and the revival of Harvey Fierstein’s “Torch Song”.
From the moment he arrived as a camper at K&E Eric was belting out his favorite show tunes, and was the star of many wonderful theater productions. We are so proud of him, and thrilled to see him pursuing what has been a lifelong passion.
In texting with Eric after the awards he said something that really summed up one of the most important things we learn at camp. “Camp taught me that you can accomplish any dream you want with teamwork and good friends by your side. Theater is such a team sport! Oh, and competitions are always better when you end it in a song!”
Please join us in congratulating our camp friend on this incredible achievement. We were really excited to see that his family was there to celebrate this amazing moment in his life. We cannot wait to see what he does next!
